orders not showing!

The customer completes an order, and pays using paypal, i recieve payment, but i don't see the order in admin panel in orders or under the customer.

I checked the database via phpmyadmin, and i can't find the order in orders table (i'm sorting by date)or in any other table. I don't think the order is in there.

While testing initially I only tested to see if paypal went through, i never bothered to check the orders in the admin. :-"

All the solutions in the forum don't seem to apply...

I did copy the database from another store(its a franchise), then updated the store info. I'm wondering if that was the problem.

all the correct values in MODULE_ORDER_TOTAL_INSTALLED are there, and auto imcrement is set for all relavant tables.

Please help!

Hello,

Most likely the customer still has the order in their shopping cart. In your paypal account, did you set the redirect links. I found if these are not set, the customer does not know to return to your site and the order is not completed. Have the customer reprocess the checkout maybe using money order or something that does not require payment.

IPN and any redirect will not work if the customer do not have or do not want a paypal account, but having IPN will help as you will have a record of transaction.I put a info at alst page to click on the large orange button at paypal to return to my web site and complete the transaction.Otherwise the transaction information will be lost.

I would recommend to all of you guys dealing with paypal to put a worning like that to avoid a problems.

So, are we saying that this cart is not very compatable with PayPal. I have the same problem and using PayPal is about the only option available to me. The cart is worthless if I cannot see what my customer just paid for.

Install IPN contribution and you will have record regardless if customer come back or not. This cart it is compatible with paypal. This is not the cart issue or osc - it is the paypal way of punishing customers who do not have or do not want a paypal account.Kind of discrimination.Just inform your customers that they need to come back to your web site after transaction complete.
