How do I display more product on index.php pages?

Tried that, but only seem to work for select modules (new products, best sellers, etc). I'm not finding what controls the number of products displayed on the index.php pages

 

Tires = tires in my corner of the world ;)

PLEASE HELP. I cannot for the life me figure out how to adjust the number of products shown on the category pages (index). Playing with the values in the admin panel only changes the amount of products on the new product page and the new products module. Nothing in there changes the number of products shown on my category pages.

 

I've tried to get a handle on the code and have played around with different things but I can't seem to locate where to make a change.

 

I want to display more than just three products per page (as shown here)

Go to the database (use phpmyadmin) - and modify the no. of products that should show up in new_products page.

I am sure this is controlled by admin - but ... you can make change in backend as well.

 

Shown below is the default sql when you install

INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added) VALUES ('New Products Module', 'MAX_DISPLAY_NEW_PRODUCTS', '9', 'Maximum number of new products to display in a category', '3', '5', now());

 

Table you need to modify - configuration

configuration_value -- make it to 6 or 9 depending upon how many you wish to show. I believe you are using a template and the creator may have set the value to 3.

I appreciate the effort to help. However, I don't think the new_products module is being used when viewing categories. Changing the value in the admin panel changes the # of products displayed in the new_products module on the homepage (index). WHen you click into categories or subcats, there is a different logic being used - that's what I'm trying to find in the code. So far with no luck :(
