Generate pdf file invoice instead of send confirmation email?

Hi guys,

 

I am trying to generate a pdf file with products information, descriptio and images that they have added into the cart in the checkout page instead of sending a confirmation email in the system. Can somebody give me an idea whether this can be done (which file I should try to work out) or is there any contributions that can accomplish this ? Any recommendation will be welcomed.

 

Actually what I want is generate something like a quotation with full description from oscommerce and export to a pdf or word doc instead of asking the customers to make payment online..
