Adding manufacturers text to: reviews, specials, invoice, latest products...

Thanks for looking at my post. I was wondering if anyone knew how to add the manufacturers text info to products, new arrivals, reviews, specials, the invoice, best sellers, etc.

 

For instance, on my latest products, I only have a picture of the product, the name of the product, and the price. I would also like to include the manufacturer text, as well.

 

Does anyone know how to do this?

 

Any and all help is mucho appreciated!!!

Since I'm new to osCommerce and totally clueless in php, this is how I would deal with the problem if I wanted manufacturer’s name to appear EVERYWHERE with the product: I would add the manufacturer's name when entering the product, as a part of product's name. Thus, for example, a product called Teacup would become XYZ Teacup, where XYZ is the manufacturer's name. I would still put the manufacturer’s name in the product listing when entering new product under Administration-Catalog-Categories/Products, so that if a visitor wants to see all products from a specific manufacturer she or he can do so.

Thanks for that info LanaS. I thought of that. However, the only problem is that in one of the main product listings, I think it's when the products are listed by category, the manufacturer is listed with the product, so the manufacturer would be listed twice.

 

I think it's going to be one of those things that I will have to piecemeal together. I've found some contributions that deal with, lets say, adding the manufacturer to "specials" or whatever. I'll just have to find more that deal with all my issues.

 

If anybody has any scraps of info on how to add the manufactuerers to different areas of the site ie: invoices, reviews, etc. Please don't hesitate.
