Many thanks It could be you have it installed incorrectly or the shop is not setup correctly. If your shop is setup to use www.mysite.com and you ordered the certificate for mysite.com, you will see that failure. germ
I used to believe this was a "bug" in Firefox. The osC site I've worked had an SLL certificate that showed no errors and loaded fine in IE, but gave "certificate errors" in Firefox. Since that time we've switched from a temporary to a permanant SSL certificate. Since the SSL install in the Control Panel left a lot to be desired I sought assistance from the Web host. Now - no SSL errors in Firefox. I must have done something wrong on the first install. The moral of the story - If the SSL is correct and the configuration of the shop correct, Firefox won't display SSL errors. ;) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. I'll double check on whether it is temporary or permanent Thanks for the suggestions
germ
Can you post a link to the site? Firefox is definitely more "picky" when it comes to SSL... "Temporary" or "Permanant" has no bearing... If it's installed correctly, and the site is configured correctly, Firefox won't do the old "choke and puke"... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
