AbsoluteMagik
Ok so I have searched through a 1000 or so topics and cannot find what I need and frustration is setting in. Item 1 - I sell custom bookmarks and notecards wholesale (sson to be retail as well) and they weigh .025 lbs, for example. The Catalog input for weight and Shipping calculates them as .02 or I can change them to .03 and charge more. I know it does not seem like a huge problem but I sell 100's at a time and the customer chooses what they want and how many...well now it is a problem. Either I lose and they get less of a shipping cost (quite costly) or I overcharge and deal with the wrath of the frugal shipping shopper (and very correct to complain over paying more for shipping). Please help. I just want to change the decimal point by 1 (or more they get really restless). How, please????? Item 2 - While I have your attention. I use product attributes to set the pack size for my small notecards. The customer can buy Singles, 4pk or 10pk and while it does a great job of pricing it...how can I set a weight to different pack sizes so it does not just charge for 1 card? Be forewarned...I am not a php-ite nor do I program (anymore) but I can change something already written. So if you can tell me the file and the location and give me a item to change or write me code to adjust it. I would be most grateful and much happier. Thanks, Magik
radders
Attributes in stock osC are not very useful. I gave up using them a few years ago so this is a bit of a guess. I haven't used it myself but New Attribute Manager may help with the attribute weight problem. As for the shipping, well you could make the unit smaller - eg. 1 gram but you might then have a problem with the granularity of the shipping calculation for larger weights. I would have thought that f you are interfacing to a shipping website then that may restrict your choice of units for the weight.
AbsoluteMagik
The attributes work find for me right now, so I would like to not change too much. I am in the US and the USPS like the weight to be in pounds...I just need that extra decimal point
