Customer Groups - Product Access

Hi! I need help.........

I have been trying to figure out a way to do this, and scoured contributions looking for the right one, but have been unsuccessful.

I have a telecoms site, and I need to allow guests/new customers who have never purchased before access to only a few of the products available. That is part one, and a major piece.

I also need to allow them to select a product - a telephone number - to purchase, and then that number not be available for anyone else to purchase. Is there a way to do this?

Lastly, but not quite so important, I need to somehow check an existing customers past purchases for a certain product or service purchased and then allow them to access applicable products.

Is any of this even possible for a "so/so" PHP coder (more than a little, but definitely not a lot of experience) to implement?

Any contributions, or even other software packages that would help do this would be great!

I love OSCommerce and use it on many of my sites, but this one is a toughie!!!!

Thanks to all for your help in advance! It will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Parts of all the things you want sound like you can do with SPPC and Hide products (and categories) from customer groups for SPPC. Other things will have to be specially coded I guess.

Thanks! I tried your Hide Products contribution and had trouble getting it to work on a catalog install with other contributions, so I am doing a fresh install and going to try it again. I thought that sounded like it may work out to be just what i need!!!

I appreciate your input!
