Guest
I just installed a brand new OSC installation and I recieve this error in numerous places around the site: 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' I contacted my hosting technical support and they said it was probably a database problem, that OsCommerce was trying to use an older syntax than what my MySQL database used which is 5.0.27. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Zach

Janissary
I am using the same version and my oscommerce installation didn't run into such a problem :) I guess you should consider hiring a new hosting :) j/k if you have installed an osc template, these happens as designers use older versions of oscommerce. If you can be more specific about where this error occurs or may dump your file here. and try to import your oscommerce.sql file again which can be found in your install directory.. Jack_mcs
It's not really the hosting company. It is the version of mysql they are using. If your host decides to upgrade mysql, you will have the same problem, unless your code is patched, of course.
