A few quick things that I need help with.... someone please!

I really need help with 4 things right off the bat.. I am new to OsCommerce, and I must say that I am very impressed with it's content and speed. However, I need some help with a couple of things.

 

1. (should be simple) - how can i add more than 1 image / picture for a product.

 

 

2. (maybe not so simple) - I already know how to create a configurator with multiple categories using dropdowns like you see here: with my old shopping cart and configurator page - http://www.peerypc.com/pentium_4_system.htm

 

Since I have started over with OsCommerce, i have created new categories and new product descriptions. How can i simply insert the individual categories by creating dropdown lists like my above configurator?? If someone could show the coding that would be very helpful. The reason for this is so that when I add new products to the categories, I don't have to constantly edit the code to add each individual product so that it appears in the dropdown list. Please Help with this!!!

 

3. Paypal is my only merchant account. Since customers can use credit cards there, Is it possible to have all of the customer's information migrated over to the paypal shopping cart / site?? Also, when I have tested the OsCommerce shopping cart going into Paypal, none of the product information goes over. Even though there are multiple items purchased, it only shows 1 item in the paypal shopping cart without any item description. Can someone help with this??

 

 

4. On one of my categories, I get a series of the letter "n" repeated. Almost like a bug. Can someone help me with this?? here is the link that shows this : http://peerypc.com/osCommerce/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_33

 

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with these things... This is a really excellent cart and I think this may help me really launch my business if i can get some of these things ironed out.

I don't think it is a good idea to start a thread with four topics. That will put off people to answer.

 

By the way, it looks like you use the file manager in admin (problems with n). Don't use it, better even remove it from the admin. Files should be downloaded with ftp, edited, uploaded (I know, it is not in the instructions).

Follow Jan's instructions and use a proper ftp program. Filezilla is free and I use it with no problems.
