Measha06
I am trying to change such titles as 'What's New Here', 'New Products For' to my own titles I thought I had found the correct place and replaced the wording with my own but still the original wording shows when you go on line can somebody point me in the right direction? I am also tring to change the background colour to the products listings and again same as above. I would like to change colour of border round the 'New Products For' and just can't find that at all. On your columns where you have say Categories, Tell A Friend, Quick Search, Information....... how do you make a space between each one, as mine are all squashed up directly under each other? Can you also tell me the best way of transfering coding. I have all the HTML for each page I wish to add from my existing site but there is font instructions etc as well as basic text, linkings etc. within the html how do I strip out the font instructions so when applied the style sheet is followed rather than the instructions in the html but still keep all the text, links etc Hoping somebody can help so I may steam on a bit. Guest
The other file you have to alter is the index.php in catalog.Somwhere at the bottom of the page.look for main statement.Look for those 2 lines: <td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td> <td class="pageHeading" align="center"> <?php echo ; ?><"center>Put your text here</td> In stylesheet.css change a fonts and color. have a fun.You can use a <br> to separate the lines. There in index.php is menthion a gif file what need to be remove. It will said something about defoult_*.gif.I d not remember the full name. The bast way to find out is to save as the picture and find out the filename. At http://www.jesphoto.net you can see the centeret text without the gif on right side. ctec2001
Answer to number 3: Look in the Stylesheet and change: .infoBox { background: #f8f8f9; Change to: .infoBox { /*background: #f8f8f9;*/ background: #FFFFFF; border-color: #d5bd3b; border-style: solid; border-width: 0 1px 1px 1px; } This will change the color of the border on the main index page. Keep in mind that this will change all the boxes borders to whatever you choose. To make the border change on the Product Listing page, look in the stylesheet and change: TABLE.productListing { border: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: #b6b7cb; border-spacing: 1px; } TABLE.productListing { border: 1px; border-style: solid; /*border-color: #b6b7cb;*/ border-color: #000000; This right here will change the color of the border. border-spacing: 1px; } Hope this helps. I will continue to get the last 2 or so answer for you. Do or Do Not, there is no try.
Janissary
#1 ) to change the colors, mouseover effects etc. edit stylesheet.css #2 ) first index.php is the file you can find in your includes/languages/english/index.php which has the constants used in your actual index.php page. You better check your language settings at your admin page. #3 ) to have some space between your boxes, refer to answer #1 :) edit your style sheet (margin , padding).. Answer to #4: Locate the code in your index.php. It should be around line 52 or so. You can add height as below: <td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" height="501" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <!-- left_navigation //--> <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_left.php'); ?> <!-- left_navigation_eof //--> Because the boxes are in a set frame, you can expand it by adding the height. You might have to play with the height numbers to see exactly how much space you would like. Hope this one helps. Let me either way. Do or Do Not, there is no try. ctec2001
For #5, would you mind sending the code so that I may take a look. I think all you might have to is add the link or import of the stylesheet into your page and then add the classes from the stylesheet and removing the ones in the code. Do or Do Not, there is no try.
