Product not Found! product does not exist please help

Please help, i have a site at www.gadgetcube.com (see images below) i am getting the Product not found! page after clicking on the two pictures/images the ones with the sony cam and samsung monitor, i would like to have another product page appear example say i want the Matrox M200 graphics card page to appear instaed how would i do that, and which file and code would i have to edit, any help would be highly appreciated this has been driving me kinda crazy over the last few days, im a newbie to osc i can edit php files instructions and with limited knowledge, thanks.

i would like to add that the images highlighted below came with the template, the products for the images do not exist, maybe that is why it is returning the Product not found! message.

You're going the completely wrong way. At first, you got to add the products, categories, manufacturers and what else to your database via the admin panel, and THEN you can start to put on links to the images on your index page. Otherwise you will ALWAYS het the products not found message. Where should the program find the products if they not exist?

Hi thanks for helping out, all the default oscommerce products, categories, manufacturers already exist in Admin and are linked to the main products on the main shop page, all i wish to do is to link the highlighted images to any product of my choice, take for example the sony camera image http://gadgetcube.com/product_info.php?products_id=127 the products_id=127 there is no such product in admin, can i not change it to say products_id=1 and have the Matrox G200 product page show up, instead of the product not found! error page, thanks.

You can. Edit the /includes/header.php and search for that link and change the products_id from 127 to something else. the images at the bottom most likely are in footer.php. All of them are hardcoded to your template.

Hi thanks i really really appreciate your advice i changed the header and it worked perfectly, im now going to try thr footer, i have been looking in all the wrong places all along, thanks.

Hi i dont really need that bit in the footer although i do need the bottom bit, but not the bit with logos, and i think it is hard coded, can you recommend a work around or how to get rid of the four logos at the bottom, thanks.

The mentioned images are not located in the footer.php as it seemed when looking at your picture. They most likely are in the index.php where there should be a manufacturers box added somewhere.

Please note, that it's easier for us if you put any code into a code box or at least wrap it into code tags. That's what those features of this forum are for. Check the icons on top and left of your input text area for it.

The index.php you've posted is the stock one, so I can't find any entry that displays those images. Since I don't know how your template looks and is working, it might be best to search the directory for files containing those links (just copy the link address to the search field and hit run). If you don't know how to search for it, Agent Ransack might be a free and suitable tool for performing such searches.

Please help, i have a site at www.gadgetcube.com (see images below) i am getting the Product not found! page after clicking on the two pictures/images the ones with the sony cam and samsung monitor, i would like to have another product page appear example say i want the Matrox M200 graphics card page to appear instaed how would i do that, and which file and code would i have to edit, any help would be highly appreciated this has been driving me kinda crazy over the last few days, im a newbie to osc i can edit php files instructions and with limited knowledge, thanks.

i would like to add that the images highlighted below came with the template, the products for the images do not exist, maybe that is why it is returning the Product not found! message.

Hi Kiran, The same problem have been passed with me. After spend hours seaching for, i finaly discover how to fix.

You must change the the "register_long_arrays" to "on" in your server.

In my case (hosting provider) testing OSc on IIS6/MySQL/PHP5 enviroment, works perfectly!!!
