Template install

I downloaded a template, but am stuck on installing it!

I tried just copying everything over onto a vanilla 2.2 install (had to chmod the configure.php's to allow the write) but I now get this (on both shop and admin side):

'Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/gadgeta/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!'

I guess this means it is no longer pointing to the mysql database after the install and I've had a look at database.php but am lost at what to do.

Am I trying to install in the wrong way?

Any help greatly appreciated!

If you drop over files that way...

do not overwrite/replace these 2 files from the old install...

includes/configure.php

and

admin/includes/configure.php

Thanks so much for the reply toyicebear,

That sorted it! Why do they include them if you aren't meant to overwrite them?!

I spent last night reading your 'Basics for osC Design' thread for another site I am starting soon, as it's over a year since I did anything osC. Great thread !

Thanks again.
