oSC database adaptation

I'm just starting to see the possibilities of osC as a new user. My host allows me to have two databases in my mysql mgmt. one of which now is my OSC store. I've been looking at it now via phpmyadmin which seems to open up possiblities to me. So my question is this. If I want to create a service in my site that allows my customer to login and see their "custom report(s)" sorted by order# and based on what they bought from me (and the services I provide), should I: a). create a new table in the same store database ? b ). add a few fields in a certain table that already exists ? or c). create a new database that somehow links to the OSC database under the same IP? The reason the "report" is complex is that it consists of a .pdf file and may include multiple pdf's for a repeat customer (multi orders) and potentially uploading by a supplier to me and hopefully SSL. So I don't know the initial direction to take with mods. Any thoughts on what I can try to do ? Thanks.
