Guest Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Hi, I took over an adult site recently, i have zero knowledge of anything to do with websites etc. and before i took over i was told it was as easy as using word etc, I now know that is not true. I can use a computer - of course and basic programs and have watched the tutorial on adding items etc so i know how to do that. But i don't understand the lingo or how i can work in the background of my site e.g changing the welcome, adding on bits adding links to promote my site ..well the list goes on. I was wondering if there is anywhere i can get a guide to how this all works in palin english so that i can teach myself, I have not had the benefit of setting it up to know what goes where etc and i can't afford to pay a web developer to do it for me. As much as i would love to and save myself the headache i haven't even made a sale on my site yet so i wont be able to go to that expense! But thanks for the suggestion! To change text, search the language files for the text you want to change (you can use windows explorer to do this, if you have a backup copy of the website on your PC, as you should).
