Guest
and I am in no way comfortable putting my merchant account password in the credit card module I will be using. The guys that work for the company I hired are AWESOME, but it's not something I would trust anybody with basically. Is there an add-on or a script from someone here that will hide my password with ******** and encrypt it whereever it is stored on the server? I could really use some help here, am suppose to go live with my store any day now. I have an IT background as Network Engineer, so am comfortable following instructions on inserting code and such, just don't know how to write it..... yet anyhow. HELP! :'( Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction, I've been searching here for a few days before posting. Stan
user99999999
I think the developer would just use decrypt() to view the password.
rabbitseffort
you could add the admin account with access levels, or the contribution by atecno that makes admin prettier and has admin access levels built in but still, there is always a way to view things you aren't supposed to, but the honor system will most likely work if you use an access level addon, since when they click to see modules for instance they will not be able to unless you assigned that ability to them HTH "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. Guest
Thanks to both of you. I do realize if somebody intended to, they could find the password. I honestly trust the people doing the work, but I'd be a major dork to simply share that info freely. I'll try to add on. Thanks again!
rabbitseffort
this is the one I use often and recommend: HERE and this admin access levels too "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer.
