I need to set up a system of sites. Each site has their own owner, that deals with their own orders and payments, but follows the same listing of products. The products periodically update, and the sites need to update with the products. New owners will constantly be added (and perferably a quick automatic setup). There is one site that acts as a demo, and can act as the central product listing.

 

What contribution would be, or the closest match, to what I need (in addition to any tweaking that is needed)?

I've tried searching and came up with Multi-Stores, Virtual Mall, Mini-Stores w/ 1 admin. I don't really understand the differences or which one is more useful for what I'm looking for.
