Measha06
I am totally new to osCommerce and am wishing to start altering the design of my site. I understand I need to alter code to do this for instance I wish to remove the right column. I have found various intructions to do this but what I dont understand is where do you find these files? Is it in File Manager? What are termed all the main files? How do you find specific code? I do not have Dreamweaver nor wish to make this type of investment is there a free download to help find code? I would appreciate any help as quick as possible as I am building the site against a time deadline. Liz A very appreciative member still attempting to climb the steep learning curve! If you are on a PC and have a copy of the site on the PC (should have for backup), you can use the windows browser to search for specific code or text in files. You can edit the code by using a pure text editor (like notepad, but not word). We all have deadlines.
