I need help with a taxes order total module

I can do very little with PHP and was wondering if anybody has the knowledge on how to create a contribution that would allow me to charge taxes on the sale of an item in my store only if the item will be shipped to Texas?

 

I know there are zone options in the catalog section of the admin but they charge taxes on every item no matter where they are being shipped.

 

I only want taxes to be applied to the order if the registered shipping address is a Texas addy.

 

I hope this makes sense and I hope someone can help.

 

 

 

P.S. I don't mind passing a few paypal dollars along for the right help.

You do not need any contribution for doing that, check again your config on the admin section. In fact, I kinda remember that by default OSC comes with sample items set up for Florida taxes (if they are shipped to FL, they get some kind of added tax).

Sorry....I got confused. That part is working, it does only add taxes if the persons addy is in Texas.

I need a contribution that allows free shipping if the item is only being shipped to Texas.

The shipping options on the product pages in admin add whatever shipping method I select to every product no matter what.

 

How would I go about getting free shipping just to Texas?

I'm having the same problem...please help! I need to charge tax based on the shipping address, not the billing address :'(
