Strange text on main page, help?

I have inherited a site after buying a business, and am totally out of my depth with all this side of it.

 

I have some strange text on my main page and have tried to work out how to get rid but not been able to.

 

I appreciate the answer is probably here somewhere but I am floundering, so any help much appreciated

So you have purchased a business, and got with it a web page you do not even know how it works...? My suggestion is for you to find ASAP someone who knows how to manage an oscommerce store (yeah, one of those guys you actually have to pay to do something you know nothing about)

And the strange text would be: "Blimey, secure your admin area!"

 

Someone is basically telling you hey, you have your admin area public... anyone can do whatever they want with your shop, which is true, since anyone can access your admin section on : http://www.charactercrazy.co.uk/shop/admin/

 

So yes, you should secure your admin area, or for now take down the shop until you learn a little bit how it works. I doubt the 5 customers that have signed up so for on your store would be happy to know that their info is up there for anyone to see.

Thanks, I am considering shutting the store, just seems a shame when it is already paid for but unless a friend of mine can help I will not be able to sort it out. The 5 customers are ones from the previous owner, I assumed it was in a working order when I acquired it but obviously not.

ok so not a big deal to most of you but to me yes

 

(fingers crossed) i now have security to admin, so how do i get rid of the text added?
