register globals

Recommended Posts

I installed the osc via fantisico through my web host. I got the normal problem child message:

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

I read the instructions and followed the patch 1.5 from Richard. However, I did not have the catalog directory as my install must have automatically deleted them.

I get my admin panel to show up perfectly, however, my main page still gets the infamous message "server requirement error..."

Am I supposed to turn on a global somewhere on the front end?

Any help would be mucho appreciated.

Joe

Anybody can help out here before I unistall this program and go with Joomla?

Error on front page still, but backend works (admin).

thanks

The problem has been fixed... problem was I read the instructions too carefully. Your root directory is not named catalog.. so I was looking for this file and never updated it with the patch.
