DavidR Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 With the rapid development, I can see a decent comparison tool is needed to find out what has really changed between an install and a new snapshot. I saw Beyond Compare listed as a good tool for this http://www.scootersoftware.com/dl.html and it does look good. Any other suggestions? David
wdyck Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 I have been using ExamDiff for a little while and it seems to do the job. It is the only one I checked out so I do not know how it compares to the others. http://www.prestosoft.com/examdiff/examdiff.htm Cheers. Wayne

xaraya Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 Cool! Thanks Jan, my trial version of Beyond Compare is about to expire and I did not want to use Windiff.
DavidR Posted November 23, 2002 Author Posted November 23, 2002 http://winmerge.sourceforge.net/ GPLed, good and free. I landed on this one - does just what it should and GPL to boot. Thanks! David
