How do I get rid of pixel_trans.gif from Box Headers?

I'm putting in graphic headers for my box headers for my site www.ropeka.com. The only problem is that the headers look distorted because of the pixel_trans.gif image that is still stuck in the header. I've been looking through all kinds of code, specifically in the default.php file, trying to get rid of it but I've had no luck. I'd appreciate if someone could either tell me how to get rid of the image or install the header graphics in some other fashion.
