Error Detected - information is missing

I am using Contribution IPN v2.2 for PayPal Payments Standard. Testing in “live” mode the aggregate function seems to work fine. When I switch to the Per Item function, I get the following error message:

---

Error Detected

Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.

---

I examined the confirmation page source code and could not find any missing data. Plus, the form action and all the required <input type="hidden" clauses were also there (see below).

But, this is missing from the source code: <input type="submit" value="PayPal">

How do I fix this? I have spent two weeks searching for a solution and am now at my wits end. Somebody please help!

Below is from the PayPal instruction manual . . .

Passing Individual Item Details to PayPal

<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">

<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_cart">

<input type="hidden" name="upload" value="1">

<input type="hidden" name="business"

value="[email protected]">

<input type="hidden" name="item_name_1"

value="Item Name 1">

<input type="hidden" name="amount_1" value="1.00">

<input type="hidden" name="item_name_2"

value="Item Name 2">

<input type="hidden" name="amount_2" value="2.00">

<input type="submit" value="PayPal">

</form>

I found the problem and this may help someone else in the future.

I installed the contribution PayPal_IPN_v2.2 for use with PayPal Payment Standard. I also installed the contribution “No login with Paypal Standard”.

These two are not compatible. Once I removed the “no login with Paypal Standard”, the per item function worked.

It only took two weeks of hair pulling frustration to figure this out.
