Mkae attribute dropdown larger

Just simple, I know, but how do I make the dropdown options larger? I made a new class and assigned it instead of class main, but that didn't do the job, I need the box and the text inside to be larger, this part is what I tried to change, I made it from this:

<tr>
		  <td class="main"><?php echo $products_options_name['products_options_name'] . ':'; ?></td>
		  <td class="main"><?php echo tep_draw_pull_down_menu('id[' . $products_options_name['products_options_id'] . ']', $products_options_array, $selected_attribute); ?></td>
		</tr>

to this:

<tr>
		  <td class="main"><?php echo $products_options_name['products_options_name'] . ':'; ?></td>
		  <td class="attribute"><?php echo tep_draw_pull_down_menu('id[' . $products_options_name['products_options_id'] . ']', $products_options_array, $selected_attribute); ?></td>
		</tr>

I assigned the attribute class in stylesheet with a font size of 18 but to no avail

Thanks in advance

I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.
