I have installed Admin Access 2.2 and edited few files to remove register globals but im sure that is done correct...

Well, everyone else's email works, so it is something unique to your files or set up. You should check the edits that you have done.

Thanks Mate ;)

None that I know of.

What files did you change?

The create account file has something like

tep_mail($name, $email_address, EMAIL_SUBJECT, $email_text, STORE_OWNER, STORE_OWNER_EMAIL_ADDRESS);

// build the message content

$name = $firstname . ' ' . $lastname;

if (ACCOUNT_GENDER == 'true') {

if ($gender == 'm') {

$email_text = sprintf(EMAIL_GREET_MR, $lastname);

$email_text = sprintf(EMAIL_GREET_NONE, $firstname);

$email_text .= EMAIL_WELCOME . EMAIL_TEXT . EMAIL_CONTACT . EMAIL_WARNING;

tep_mail($name, $email_address, EMAIL_SUBJECT, $email_text, STORE_OWNER, STORE_OWNER_EMAIL_ADDRESS);

tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_CREATE_ACCOUNT_SUCCESS, '', 'SSL'));

}

}

Everything seems to be fine in here

Looks like you have another contrib for html email or somthing that is using a template for the email. You may want to check that.

so for example can u write me your lines and can i copy and paste it ? lol

I have many contribs (and they are not the ones that you have) installed so my code would be of no use to you.

You would be better off downloading a fresh osc to use for comparison.

I just installed the latest version of OSCOMMERCE.

I cannot send or recieve mail.

I am in the same boat, BUT NOBDODY CAN HELP ME EITHER.

If I try to send out email using the Admin Control Panel, I recieve a message "Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect...."

(it gives me an error in email.php and general.php)

Is this of any revellance to your situation?

I think that we need to manually edit one of our .php files but for some reason NOBODY WHO HAS INSTALLED OSCOMMERCE on their website has the same problem?

Can somebody help us send mail?

We'll assume your hosting server allows email sending... ;)

Silly question...

Have you checked your settings or tried different settings in Amin Panel > Configuration > E-Mail Options?

E-Mail Transport Method__________________SMTP (or try sendmail)

E-Mail Linefeeds_________________________LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails_______true

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS_______true

Send E-Mails___________________________true

If you don't have any edited files that would effect the e-mail functions of osC, the above is all it takes to send e-mail.

The best way to check for altered files would be to compare yours with a vanilla file.

If all files check out alright, then the issue could very well be server side if no e-mail gets sent.
