Freedom Fighter Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 I have a quick question. I'm registered with 2checkout for accpeting credit cards on my site. The only problem with the 2checkout module that is already installed in the 2.2 version of osCommerce is that my checkout page IS NOT stored on a SSL server. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a way to foward the customer to 2checkout's website where they will be requsted to enter their information. I've heard people do it on here but I did a search and nothing came up. Help with this would be deeply appericated! Thank you for all your help. -Alex Extreme Alterations

thejungle Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 I replaced my pm2checkout with `Mr Ree's' and it seems to work OK, except it comes up on the order page as: This is currently the only payment method available to use on this order. 2CheckOut MODULE_PAYMENT_2CHECKOUT_TEXT_CREDIT_CARD_OWNER_FIRST_NAME <<< Here it inserts the first name MODULE_PAYMENT_2CHECKOUT_TEXT_CREDIT_CARD_OWNER_LAST_NAME <<< Here it inserts the last name How do I change the MODULE_PAYMENT_2CHECKOUT_TEXT etc to something more friendly or did I miss something. I'm using a loaded October's snapshot of 2.2. Thanks Ernie

JeanCarlo Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 Hello. I use this code in test mode and have this error : I have Nov 16 version of oscommerce. Can you help me ? Parameter Error. Incorrect parameters were supplied therefore this purchase cannot begin. If you are attempting to purchase from a web site please contact the web site so that they can correct the error. If you are designing your web site consult the 2Checkout.com Admin Area for the proper codes. Thank You, 2Checkout.com Inc.
Mr. Ree Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 Did it work with the unaltered version? That appears to be possibly a 2checkout error, they seem to be having a lot of issues the past week or so. I no longer use them because of their problems and they may have changed procedure and now require all the hidden information to be passed to them for the procedure to work. I have canceled my 2checkout.com account so I can not test this. At the time I posted this, with the snapshot of that day, and with 2checkout doing the things on their end that way that day, it worked. If the original file works, stay with it. Or you can try to compare it with the one I posted above and see if you can make it work. Sorry not to be much help. Mr. Ree How to find answers to OSC Common Questions 1. Mr. Ree Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 Since they have not closed my trouble ticket from 2 weeks ago regarding closing my account, I played with the 2checkout process. No surprise there, they are very slow at answering tickets, The error seems to stem from their end as it gives this error with the unadulterated version of the pm2checkout.php file. So given that, either something has changed in the information they require from the OSC program, or their stuff is messed up on their end. With the problems they have been having I expect the later. You need to submit a trouble ticket to 2checkout.com and see what they say. Also, visit their message board at http://support.2checkout.com/forums/main.php where you will find a myriad of complaints, of course they delete them as fast as they are posted but there are more than they can delete regularly. In fact, I just checked and WOW! they have a real contact phone number posted now!! Look in the General Forum. BTW, did you sign the agreement for the new TOS from 2checkout? they may have you botched for not signing. Meanwhile, back at the ranch. authorize.net is working WONDERFULLY for me. They do not leave my site, faster payments and 24/7 support. Even on Holidays. :D Best of luck to you guys. Mr. Ree How to find answers to OSC Common Questions 1. gnailor Posted December 2, 2002 Posted December 2, 2002 After going to 2checkout I changed the test mode to use my account not the one defaulted by Oscommerce and it worked! This was after using the code on a previous thread. It went through to 2checkout and asked for their credit card info on their side. I have not used it out of test mode yet but I assume it will work. Graeme Nailor Exceptionalpartypackages.com
dumb_question Posted December 2, 2002 Posted December 2, 2002 I found out that they had changed my account # without notifying me. Checked myself in admin section at 2checkout. they had told me through the stupid autoresponder that my account was terminated for some stupid reason they suck big time.
