osC payment processing / SSL - newbie questions

Hi

 

I've just installed osC - amazingly easy! :D

 

This will be my first ecommerce site and I'm therefore pretty clueless when it comes to payment options / SSL and how it all integrates with osC.

 

The site I'm building is for an established trader who won't have any problem getting an ITA (Internet Trader Account) for processing credit cards.

 

Do I understand correctly - I need to purchase an SSL certificate and after that osC will send secure email to the shop owner for manual processing of credit cards / orders? Is that easy?! :shock:
