Guest Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 what file in oscommerce can i edit to my language in Indonesia version ? :?:
zzfritz Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 I see that after three days none of the big experts has answered this somewhat innocent question, so I will tackle it. Adding a whole new language set is a bold and noble thing, and you can see several such contributions here: http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads.php/co...ibutions/type,5 For example, I just looked at the Ukraine language contribution and it has 79 files. What is needed is a main language file with the common defines at catalog/includes/languages/<language>.php, then a subdirectory for <language> with the entire set of script-specific files that contain the defines for each of them. The system architecture of osC to allow multi-lingual catalog (and by the same method, admin) by use of these modularized text files is one of osC's greatest features. But adding a new language is still not a trivial thing.
