Hi, When i receive (testing) emails about 'Order Process' to webmail client, tested on squirrelmail and roundcube the message body is blank :'( . When the same email is opened in Outlook Express it appears correctly B) (although the html view does have some wierd characters occasionally-but dirrerent problem). The email is generated from osCommerce v2.2rc1 after an order has been placed. The mail server is window2003/php5.2/hmailserver 4.4-b270.

I have tried tried to open the message in both squirrelmail v1.4.10a and roundcube v0.1 rc1 with no luck however the email opens successfully with outlook express.

Header for squirrelmail/roundcube is follows:

Return-Path: <>

Received: from vahland-fs1 ([127.0.0.1]) by mail.vahlandtechnologies.com.au with hMailServer ; Fri, 7 Sep 2007 13:40:39 +1000

X-Mailer: osCommerce Mailer

the header for outlook express (which works ok) is as follows:

Return-Path: <>

The only difference i can see is a new line after "multipart/alternative;", meaning "boundary..." is on a seperate line. I did see a post about this in the past mentioning bad rfc but not sure on who's behalf. It could be an osCommerce error when the email is generated using the php mail() function, or a webmail problem, processing the multipart/alternative mime part incorrectly. Any help appreciated.

Solution found!

I had incorrectly set the "email linefeeds" setting.

I have the transport method set to SMTP as i am using a windows based server but had incorrectly set the email line feeds to LF which seems to be linux/sendmail setting.

Once i matched up the correct settings to SMTP->CRLF (windows) and Sendmail->LF (linux) everything appeared successfully.

Maybe a comment could be added to the email config page for these settings (or maybe i just didnt RTFM)

Conor
