Shopping Cart Flaw

I'm hearing from my customers that when they ring up their total it gives them a bogus #, such as one today rang up as $362,951. She hoped she didn't spend that much! :'(


What could be the problem/fix?

Have you tried to duplicate this error by checking out as a test customer in your site?


That would be the first thing I would do. Try to see it for myself.


Load up your shopping cart and go thru checkout.


And pay close attention to WHICH page the error is occurring on.

Check that the following is not the case too...


Its someone who have been on the site before added items to the cart , logged in but not completed the purchase....


Then when he/she comes back, shops around and logs in...the new old saved cart items are merged together with the new items hence giving a larger number of items and total....
