Reset the permissions

Try using FileZilla (free) or WS FTP Home (30 day trial version).

If you still cannot reset permissions then use the File Manager in your Web Hosting control panel to do it.

You can only reset permissions via FTP on an Apache Server (not a Windows Server), and even with an Apache server some hosts don't allow it to be done that way.

I tried - Honest!! WS FTP would let me change but would not save and when I try my Web Hosting i get this message "Unable to execute site command chmod 0644 /catalog/includes/configure.php. Note that the CHMOD command is only available on Unix FTP servers, not on Windows FTP servers." Which is what you said!!

I really am a beginner to all this so be gentle with your reply ;)
