Can I receive e-mail when an order has been placed?

Hello Everyone!

 

I would like to get an e-mail when a new customer registers him/herself and when someone places an order. So, I don't need to check my admin all the time :wink: .

 

Does anyone know if this is possible within osCommerce or through an specific addon?

Have you installed osCommerce? Did you actually look at the admin?

 

If yes you could have noticed this setting under Administration - Configuration:

 

"Send Extra Order Emails To"

 

Here you can enter your eMail address and you will get a copy if all orders.

And if you type in <your cell number>@<your cell provider email address>.com, you can have it bleep your cell phone everytime an order is placed. I have set that up on mine for the first few weeks while we slowly begin to take orders.

 

Example:

[email protected]
