https://images directory help

Recommended Posts

When using a host with a virtual IP I could keep my images in the http:// directories and access them for both the https:// & http:// pages.

I've now purchased a fixed IP address & found the https:// pages can no longer access the http:// images.

Is there an easy fix in the configure.php? I tried providing the whole path at define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); but this did not work. Do I have to keep all my images in both the secure and non-secure directories?

P.S. A good side effect I noticed is the security certificate error message 'the certificate name does not match the site' no longer appears since the fixed IP.
