Which online merchant account provider to choose.

I have been working on setting up an oscommerce site. I think I am almost ready.

 

Which merchant account (online) should I use. I have heard good and bad things about 2checkout.com. Expensive (5.5%) and they only transfer $1000 max per month.

 

Any others I should look at?

 

I have purchased an SSL

2checkout is changing to 5% and only a 5% holdback/month on a rolling 90 day period as of the new year. Not so expensive after all. :D

The merchant provider you choose should be the one that best fiits your needs and has a cost structure that your business can afford. What is best for someone else is not necessarily going to be the best for you. Also don't fall into the trap of simply choosing the cheapest provider because you could have a lot of trouble down the road (i.e. the new $750 account fees for existing iBill customers).
