Values on Product listing page

Recommended Posts

We are new to oscommerce and don't understand the product listing "values" on the product listing page. For example, Display Product Price has a value of 3, display buy now column has a value of 4 and others on this page have values of 0, 1 and 2. What do these numbers mean?

Also, how do we replace the oscommerce logo in the top left corner with our store logo?

Thanks so much!

The values simply represent the order in which thing are to appear onscreen.

For example, 0 will appear before 1. 4 will appear before 5. You designate the order in which things are to appear by assigning the appropriate value.

To change the logo in the header...visit Catalog > Includes > Header.php and look for this chunk of code near the top of the file.

?>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr class="header">
<td valign="center"><?php echo <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'osCommerce.gif', 'osCommerce') . '</a>'; ?></td>

The references to osCommerce.gif and 'osCommerce' may not read exactly that, as I'm no longer working with a clean install of OSC. But, that's where you would replace the existing OSC logo with your own.

You need to upload your logo to your catalog > images folder in order for that to work. Then, replace that code with something like this:

?>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr class="header">
<td valign="center"><?php echo '     <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'YOURLOGO.gif', 'NAME OF MY WEBSITE) . '</a>'; ?></td>
