saket Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 Hi whenever I try and change the image for a category through the admin the Image I used before will just show up again. I can change the images for a product fine. What is wrong?
rstn123 Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 mine does that too, i dont know why...rename the image and upload it. use a name other then what is already there.
Ajeh Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 On occaision this happens to me, deleting it physically from the server then reloading it with the browser in the Admin appears to help.
rstn123 Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 Linda, can you help me? I have a big problem getting my payment module working. sorry for the off topic
rstn123 Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 lol........im using the authnet module in 2.2 cvs snapshot. my credit card place is http://www.eprocessingnetwork.com/Utilities.html they say that any authnet customer can use thier system by changing the url "https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll " to theirs. which i did. The cart isnt sending any info to thier script at all. It just redirects to a page on thier server saying user account not enabled. Its not sending the account number or any other info. I am wondering if its because I dont have SSL installed yet. Or is it something more complicated.
Ajeh Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 I am not a whiz on AuthorizeNet but I thought they required a secure server or something. Also is that URL with a capital U intentional on both your's and their part?
rstn123 Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 thanks, thats what im thinking....i know all the cotributions require it so hopefully thats what it is.....thanks again
ukracer Posted January 2, 2003 Posted January 2, 2003 mine does that too, i dont know why...rename the image and upload it. use a name other then what is already there. Have we found the problem with this ! It all seems to be the same problem manifesting itself in different ways from what I can now see. Master of os commerce may you speak please?????? Put us out of our misery please??
mugitty Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Just refresh your screen after your change and the new version will come up (at least that's what happens for me) ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
ukracer Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 Just refresh your screen after your change and the new version will come up (at least that's what happens for me) sorry but if only it were that simple. You will notice that many of us are having the same problem but not getting many replies.......wierd eh??
rstn123 Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 that bug has been acknowleged. either rename the image and upload it again or delete the image off your server all together and upload it again. not that hard.
ukracer Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 that bug has been acknowleged. either rename the image and upload it again or delete the image off your server all together and upload it again. not that hard. Not that hard when you isolate why its happening...........I uploaded all my images via FTP so could not see why it would affect me. What I have now found out was the image I uploaded via FTP was in fact yokomo.gif and not jpg so when I tried to check the file name via the admin panel I was then party to the bug inadvertantly. So it would seem. What I was not aware......never thought to check it was so simple...was checking it through a browser direct like www.dcracing.co.uk.catalog/images/yokomo.jpg it would not in fact show. One of my major problems is not knowing what is termed by uploading an image by admin??? In fact I do feel its one thing that lets OS commerce down and interestingly was the one major reason why I dropped the last cart I was using <grin> Also the fact that some people say that OScommerce will not work with nested folder images BUT the snapshot I am using comes with them. All of this is fine when you know what you are doing but to a mere mortal I find it very hard and I am sure I am not alone. Oh BTW has anyone else on here come across instant source?? Its superb for newbies who need to see what happens with PHP pages and was one reason I KNEW I was calling the right filename and path. Thanks for your reply
