Possible to use Microsoft SQL 2000 with osCommerce

Hi,

 

Is it possible to use Microsoft SQL 2000 with osCommerce?

Have a customer who alredy has Microsoft SQL 2000 on his server and I don?t want to install Mysql on the same server...

 

Any solution or small hack for this?

You could adapt all the queries (never tried but should be possible by all means) or you could just install mySQL (which is free) It sohuld not be any problem to have both DB's on the same server.

Hi I understand that you are new here and everything.. but you probably could have gotten an answer fairly quick if you simply went and utilized the search feature of this great forum (located below the "pair" banner above) I did a simple query for "Microsoft AND SQL" and lo and behold I got 29 hits.. the 1st of which was this thread and the 2nd of which answers your question (would have been 1st if you hadn't submitted a new post :) )

 

Sorry, I don't mean to sound rude.. but we all have to learn sometime! I mean honestly, do you use search engines on the web to find your answers? Why not do that here?

No I?m not lazy and I think I?m quite god to use searchengines.

But my brain most crashed or something, cause I always search

before I ask, but my search consisted of " sql NOT myslq".....

 

And thats not such a god search...we all make mistakes!
