Blank Text Attribute

Anyone know how I can create an attribute which will just create a small text box where the customer can enter information. Basically I want a size box but we've got Several hundred size combinations and not all products come in all sizes so we'd really like to just be able to put "This Product available in sizes XXX through XXX and have the customer type in their desired size.

 

Any Ideas?
