Adding Catagories

How do you add catagories?

Very straightforward: from the admin index, choose the Catalog menu box, and from it choose Categories/Products; on that page you are shown the existing categories as folders, and at the bottom is a button to create a new category. The entry page for the new category wants the name for the category, an image file to display for the category, and an optional sort order if you want to override the default alphabetic sort of the category names when displayed.

 

After you have created the category it shows up as a folder and you add products to it by clicking on the new product button. You navigate around categories by clicking on their folder icons to the left, and edit them by clicking on the info icon to the right.
