Categories are not mine!

This is really weird. All of a sudden the categories listed in the store front are not mine and they take me to another website. They look like the old categories from the original install but they take me to http://www.courtneyirishjewelry.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1, which is a non-working original OSC store.

Everything was fine yesterday, even after I renamed the admin file and changed the links in the XXXXXX/includes/configure.php file. In the admin section the categories are correct and working fine. It is only on the storefront that they are wrong.

The store url is bestsewingdeals.com/store/catalog/index.php

The categories should be "Accessories" "Embroidery Designs" "Singer Machines" and "Singer Manuals"

I have NOT installed any category contribs. I do have the BDP installed but I haven't made any changes to that in awhile.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

HELP!!

Thanks,

K

It is only on the index page! The other pages have the correct catagories and links. Hmmm, this is SO weird.

this has been known to happen on shared servers with hosts that don't put in methods to prevent this from happening

I think there is a fix in the contributions or tips and tricks but didn't find it with a quick search

Good luck

"The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.

The problem described lies with in the caching method of the site what i did to fix on my end was to under configuration and under cache disable cache or either change the Cache Directory.

Thanks Samm! I set the Cache to "false" in admin and it immediately fixed the problem. Do I need the cache set to true for any particular reason? Will this affect the site in any negative way?

Thanks again!
