My website produce double content when switching language

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My website produces 2 different URL for each product (=double content = not google compliant) . Ex :

http://mywebsite/myproduct same content as http://mywebsite/monproduit/language/en

Here is the sequencing :

Starting with the page : http://mywebsite/myproduct then I click on "French" and get http://mywebsite/myproduct/language/fr (the page is now in French). Then I click on "English and get http://mywebsite/monproduit/language/en (text in english)

Here is the code I identify to be responsible of this syntax (in header.php) :

if(strtolower($value['name']) == 'french') $lang = 'français';

elseif(strtolower($value['name']) == 'german') $lang = 'deutsch';

else $lang = strtolower($value['name']);

$languages_string .= ' <a class="header_link" href="' . tep_href_link(basename($PHP_SELF), tep_get_all_get_params(array('language', 'currency')) . 'language=' . $key, $request_type) . '"><font style="color: rgb(102, 102, 102); font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial; font-style: normal; font-size: 8.5pt;">' . $lang . '</font></a> ';

Someone has the key to switch directly from http://mywebsite/myproduct to http://mywebsite/monproduit by clicking on "French" ?
