devink Posted November 16, 2002 Posted November 16, 2002 Hi, I have 2 categories, both with sub-categories. One shows the sub-categories links in the centre of the page, and the other simply says "There are no products to list in this category." Can anyone explain what is happening? http://www.facepaint.me.uk/catalog/default.php Face paints shows nothing, party decorations shows links. Thanks in advance Many Thanks, Steve
radders Posted November 16, 2002 Posted November 16, 2002 Hi Steve, Do you by any chance have a product in the main category 'Face Painting' rather than one of its subcategories? If the product is sold out it wouldn't appear in the catalogue but would still screw things up.
devink Posted November 16, 2002 Author Posted November 16, 2002 I just SQL'ed a quantity of 99 on all products that are 0. I definitely have no products in this category. Many Thanks, Steve
devink Posted November 16, 2002 Author Posted November 16, 2002 I upload the products and categories using SQL statements from an Access database. I have inactive products which aren't uploaded, but I inadvertently uploaded the category/product relationship. Thanks for the help. Many Thanks, Steve
burt Posted November 16, 2002 Posted November 16, 2002 FYI: You have 4 products in main category "loot bags" which are not inside a sub category. If a main category has a sub-category then you cannot put products directly into the main category, they *must* go into a subcategory of the main directory. Complicated? No, just a bug in the programming. I presume you got your other problem sorted as "face paints" is now showing links etc.
