This is my first time working with this product.

I can see the mysql database on line and it is on the local computer. PhP works fine.(c:\php\ and c:\inetpub\catalog\) Is there a odbc driver that I need? or is it my configure.php file that is not correct.

<?php

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://127.0.0.1');

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'http://127.0.0.1');

define('ENABLE_SSL', false);

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '127.0.0.1');

define('DB_SERVER', '127.0.0.1');

define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'root');

define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'password');

define('DB_DATABASE', 'download_store');

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false');

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

?>

The other question I have is will oscommerce work with SQL2000 or SQL2005?

define('DB_SERVER', '127.0.0.1');

I think it should be

define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost');

Is there a odbc driver that I need?

no, simply install the MySQL server on your computer

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
