The e-commerce.

Correct HTML

Recommended Posts

I was prompted to ask this question after someone pointed out that a fairly basic site had over 400 HTML errors! I have been concentrating on getting osCommerce to work in the way I wanted and not bothering too much with "correct" HTML. I then checked my site and the original osCommerce files are full of HTML coding errors!

I presume that when osCommerce was written, the emphasis was on producing good PHP and not HTML. I will probably try and sort out the HTML at a later date.

Will future versions of osCommerce conform to say XHTML 1.1 or is this unlikely to change?

Has anyone had any problems with browsers because of the errors in HTML coding?

Has anyone converted all the coding to XHMTL?

(I apologise if this has cropped up recently, but the Search facility will not less me search on HTML)
