adding Credit Card Validation Code

anybody knows how to add Credit Card Validation Code(3 digit) into credit card payment modules?

 

I guess I have to insert field in database and change the php code.

There was a contribution extending the Authorize.Net module for CVV, but it is out of date:

Maybe you could persuade Bao Nguyen to extend his recent Authorize.Net ADC contribution, then it would be head and shoulders above all others:

Sorry to break this news to you, but NO payment modules -- or contributions extending them (including that one) -- which were implemented prior to this month are compatible with the radically modified checkout process. That is one of the hazards inherent in making and using contributions, they may be made obsolete by changes in the CVS.

In the meantime I had to turn off authorize.net's "decline if CVV doesn't match" yada yada stuff... is this safe?
