DHL and Worlwide Express

Recommended Posts

I have a customer who uses DHL as their shipping carrier but use rates by Worldwide Express. I have installed the DHL module but need to add information so that it will retrieve the correct rates by Worldwide Express. I have been told that this can be done and they sent me instructions but I have no idea how to do this. Can someone help me? I have posted the info from WWE below. Any help would be greatly apprediated. Thanks!!!

Rate Matrix Access API

The external rate matrix access has been provided for customers using a third party online ordering or shopping cart system. It provides estimated costs for each of the 4 service levels, in a comma-separated format. In order to retrieve rates, 4 pieces of information need to be provided.

fromZip - Origin zip code

toZip - Destination zip code

weight - Package weight, for letter, use weight=0

acctNum - Account number requesting rates

length - package length (optional)

width - package width (optional)

height - package height (optional)

res - if address is a residential address (res = true) (optional)

insurance - Additional Protection (insurance) amount(optional)

This request can be sent by either an HTTP GET or POST operation to the following URL:

Example URL:

Making this request will return two lines of comma separated data. The first line is the service level, and the second line is the corresponding pricing. For example

$6.50, $12.25, $7.85, $14.00

Anyone who prefers not to process this data and display it in their own format may use http://www.wwexship.com/rates/DisplayRates.jsp to have it displayed in an HTML table.

Example URL:

The data will be outputted in HTML table cells like this:

Rate for this item to zip code 60655

Express Next Afternoon Second Day Ground

$13.99 $12.88 $7.15 $3.91
