Guest Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 I was wondering how hard and if it is possible to use osCommerce as a billing/tracking solution for a web hosting biz. Basically, I want it to keep track of users, what they ordered (only 3 options), plus have recurring billing every month. Is that possible, and how hard is it to tweak osCommerce. I am not that familliar with php/programming in general, but I know how to install stuff, navigate through linux, and edit files. Is setting up osCommerce using a GUI or thru programming/editing text files? Thanks, very excited to try this out.
Guest Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 osCommerce is not really for that. Use ModernBill for web hosting recurring billing. You have to pay a little for the software but it is really good.
Snowman Posted December 2, 2002 Posted December 2, 2002 osCommerce can be used for hosting. I use it quite successfully. Recurring billing isnt an option at the moment, but im working on it.
