I have done it and its very easy after a long thought :-)

follow the model field. add a new field in database through myphpadmin

files to be modified are:

category.php in admin to add info

products_info.php in category

to show info

just copy and paste changing the name from model to your_name

Hi,

the easy way is to open the admin/categories.php with an editor,

do a find or search model

example I found this

'products_model' => tep_db_prepare_input($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_model']),

if you have a field called your_name copy the above and added below

'products_model' => tep_db_prepare_input($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_model']),

'products_your_namel' => tep_db_prepare_input($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_your_name']),

then do another search and you will find:

} elseif ($HTTP_POST_VARS['copy_as'] == 'duplicate') {

$product_query = tep_db_query("select products_quantity, products_model, products_image, products_price, products_date_available, products_weight, products_tax_class_id, manufacturers_id from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " where products_id = '" . tep_db_input($products_id) . "'");

$product = tep_db_fetch_array($product_query);

just add products_your_name next to product_model

and so on until you have find them all...

doing it like this, the new field will be under model field...

just have a look how the rest of the field are located and place your under..
