Below is a fresh copy of the index.php file I installed after I messed up but page will still not display at all... Anyone help?

The file that controls the content of the main page is catalog/index.php.

The page is blank when viewed in your browser because about 95 per cent of the code for your "index.php" is missing.

 

Don't you have a copy of it on your local PC you can re-upload?

Unfortunatley, Iam not on my standard pc, Iam away at the moment trying to fix the site from remote location but I do not know the index.php file that I actually need, can not find catalog/index.php file

Thank you very much for the help on that, wondering if someone could possibly tell me why the pictures will not display within the categories?

It says displaying37 of 37 but no pictures are there?

I'm not sure about the answer to your last question...

 

Some things you'll need to attend to sooner or later:

 

1. The pink message at the top of the screen:

 

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/users/web/b589/pow.riffraffleathers/store/htdocs/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

 

You'll need to change the permissions to "755" (I think) via your control panel (or FTP program - which won't always do the trick).

 

2. The "My Account" and "Checkout" links won't work because they have "https:" (Note the "s") in them. You probably set "SSL" to "true" at installation, but haven't gotten SSL coverage set-up (yet). Those changes would be made in "/admin/includes/configure.php", or get SSL coverage.

The permissions for both configure.php files should be 644. includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

You won't see a difference in the content of the file itself. Changing the permissions on the file tells the server who can use the file and how.
