During installation, OSCommerce installs the database and adds sample data. To start using the store, I deleted the imaginary products and categories provided by the installation, to replace them with real catagories and products. When I enter the store, I see the new categories. But once I surf the store, suddenly i see the old categories (Software, DVD's and Movies) that were provided during the installation, instead of the new categories I provided. Has anyone encountered this problem before? How to solve it? Possibly it has to do with my webhost, or the database? I have not found any article covering this problem on this forum. If anyone has found a similar question on this forum, please tell me so. I very much hope that this problem is easy to solve... Thank you, mike I've never had this problem personally, but that might be because instead of deleting the sample categories, I just rename them and delete any folders that are inside them that i don't need. Maybe you might want to try this. I personally would rather just edit the existing than clear everything out n start over, seems like a lot of energy and clicking to get to the same place. This is my 3rd different installation of OSC that I'm working on and it really seems to work for me.
